Head of Game Studio
Veteran software development professional with a career spanning over 15 years of shipping critically acclaimed software across multiple platforms. Led Production for industry-leading social games on web and mobile platforms, including FarmVille and Zynga Texas Hold’em Poker. Head of Operations for critically acclaimed Star Wars branded titles at LucasArts. Managed Quality Assurance for multi-platinum console sports games: EA Sports FIFA Soccer 2003 to 2008, EA Sports World Cup 2002, MVP Baseball 2004. Agile nerd and resident Canuck.
VP of Development
Harold is a former Technical Product Owner at Spotify, where he was able to integrate his twin passions for music and technology. Harold made his way into gaming as the Senior Director of Development at DeNA/ngmoco, where he built critically acclaimed mobile games. Harold also served as the Analytics and Site Manager for Microsoft Hardware and Macintosh Business Unit, and he is now contributing his skills and experience to building Halo Platform’s gaming functions.
Lead Game Designer
A Senior Designer whose creative vision brought to life the Farmville:Emerald Valley expansion, along with SniperX with Jason Statham and numerous other titles. Being a self-proclaimed geek and avid gamer, her passions persist in RPGs, including playing many video games and LARPing on the weekends. She resides in Southern Califiornia.
Principal Game Developer
Todd is a man of multiple talents. He started his tech career as a graphic artist, but his interests turned towards 3D animation and A/V production before diving head on into software engineering in 2000. This wide range of skills proved integral in his gaming career, which includes four indie game titles that he developed and released single-handedly. After more than ten years of cloud-based ERP software development, Todd became a founding employee of indi gaming startup Spooky Cool Labs in 2011, which was later acquired by Zynga for their title Hit It Rich! Casino Slots. Todd spent the next four years leading the mobile client development for Hit It Rich!, and now he uses his considerable talents to develop creative and engaging new products for the Block & Chain Team.
Adam has lived and worked across the country as a software and game developer since 2011. Now he is back home in Wisconsin, excited to work with the great people and technology around the Halo Platform.
Mary is a talented illustrator and concept artist who brings her own creative flair to the Halo Platform Team. In addition to being a storyboarder, visual development artist and graphic designer, Mary holds a Master’s degree in Visual Development from the Academy of Art University. She is also an avid gamer with a passion for video game character design.
Michelle is Halo Platform’s resident artist. Having graduated from the Art Institute of California at San Francisco in 2008, Michelle has worked on many hit games, including Farmville and Zynga Poker. Michelle also worked at a character artist at IMVU, which is currently the top-ranked 3D Avatar Social App on iTunes. A true video game lover, Michelle spends her free time gaming and hanging out with her Newfoundland pup.
Aya has been immersed in the art of storytelling for years, and she started committing her literary talents to the world of gaming in 2011. Aya brings the skills she's developed over the years through interactive theater experiences and writing for video-game giant NCSoft to the creative development team at Block & Chain. Aya is excited to help new fables unfold at Block & Chain, and soon the entire gaming community will see her skills as a weaver of tales.
